Well now, what do we have here? Another incredible song from Wake Up Music Rocks!
At this point I am not surprised at all, and it is clear to me that this impressive indie label knows who to work with, because the new single Cannibals by Louisiana based Nu Metal band SevVven is Fu@%ing, off the bloody chain!
This isn’t my first time listening to SevVven, so I knew a bit of what to expect from Cannibals, and I could not hit play faster to be honest, because SevVven is a killer band through and through, and there was no way this track wasn’t going to be a banger!
What SevVven does well is to create a landscape of sound that is truly dark and cinematic, but also incredibly beautiful and inspiring. Their vocals range from brutally powerful screams to soaring melodies that lift the entire song to another level. Cannibals captures the heart of what SevVven is clearly all about, and that would be creating songs that are undeniably aimed at generating an emotional response from the listener. This isn’t a song that you will listen to once and forget about, it is a song that will stay stuck in your head and end up on your playlist, it is truly a single-worthy song from a band that deserves all the accolades they will surely get.
The production of this song is absolutely on-point, which hats off to the sound engineer on this one because taking this much intensity and layering it in such a way that everything and everyone can be heard crystal clear is no easy feat. The bands that come to mind when I listen to Cannibals are Periphery, Avenged Sevenfold, and Asking Alexandria. SevVven can easily be placed among the top musicians on the scene at this moment, and Cannibals is the proof of this fact.
Great job SevVven! You should be quite proud of this one! And I can’t wait to see you play it live!
